INGREDIENTS

For Grill

3 pounds Chicken Drums and Flats
¼ cup Sweet Applewood Barbecue Dry Rub & Seasoning
Carrot and Celery Sticks, for serving

For Skillet

1 cup Stonewall Kitchen Apple Jalapeño Jelly
1/2 cup water
1/4-1/2 cup Bourbon
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 pounds Chicken Wings
Carrot and Celery Sticks, for serving

GRILL DIRECTIONS

  1. Set the grill to 400F.
  2. Pat chicken dry and season generously with rub and let sit for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Add chicken to grill and cook, flipping every 5 minutes until chicken reaches 165F, about 10-20 minutes depending on the size.
  4. Meanwhile in a bowl combine mayo, vinegar, lemon juice, rub, horseradish, and salt.
  5. Serve chicken with carrot and celery sticks.

SKILLET DIRECTIONS

  1. In a food processor, puree Apple Jalapeño Jelly.
  2. In a large skillet place the Apple Jalapeño Jelly, water, Bourbon, and butter over medium heat. When melted stir until uniform.
  3. Add the chicken wings. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Remove lid and simmer another 30 minutes, turning the wings several times. The sauce should thicken, but do not allow to burn.
  5. Remove wings and finish under the broiler until golden brown. Serve hot with reserved sauce from skillet.
  6. Serve chicken with carrot and celery sticks.
